High Highs' Open Season Sets A High Bar For Ambient Music Of 2013
I gave into the hype, and watched the amazingly funny movie Pitch Perfect. I'm not a big sucker for singing movies, which is ironic because I'm absolutely obsessed with music. Thank goodness for me the soundtrack far from sucked. Actually, it was brilliant.
There was this one song that stuck out to me the three times that I watched Pitch Perfect, and I was thinking, "WHY haven't I shazamed that yet?!" So I did, and it turned out to be a song called "Open Season" and a band called High Highs.

To spotify I went. Doing my research, I found out this band is from Australia and they were luckily releasing new music come 2013. (PS Why is every amazing band that I find from a movie from Australia?! *Cough The Middle East from the Crazy, Stupid, Love Soundtrack*
Open Season is the name of High Highs' new album and man, is it too damn good. Dreamy, ambient, indie, lovers take flight with your new favorite.

Instead of a full play-by-play of each track I'll give you my favorite tracks to check out!
The album starts out with the track "Dey," a short, sweet, and beautiful track that sets the tone of the album quite perfectly I might say. Of course, "Open Season" from the Pitch Perfect Soundtrack. I mean, I know I described their music as dreamy... But litearlly... This song is called "In A Dream." It's quite beautiful. "Milan" Oh, this song... I mean, I really couldn't pick more relaxing music to study to, chill to, or nap to than this track. I'm actually falling asleep listening now, kidding but really, it's like you're in a trance state and hypnotized.
After non-stop listening for the past week while studying, I want to know, what's your favorite chill music to relax to after a long day at school, the office, or work?
You'll ♥
